As part of the comprehensive renovation of Aalborg University, X LIGHT®, in close collaboration with Uggerly, has delivered a future-ready lighting solution that combines modern technology, energy efficiency, and user comfort. With the implementation of our intelligent X Connect system, the project fully complies with BR18 building regulations and integrates advanced features such as daylight harvesting, occupancy sensors, and wireless communication. This innovative approach ensures optimal use of natural light, significantly reduces energy consumption, and creates a more comfortable and flexible learning environment for students and staff.
The new lighting installation is also prepared for data collection via the X Connect® gateway, enabling advanced monitoring and analysis of lighting usage and behavioral patterns — a key feature in tomorrow’s smart buildings. Fully compliant with BR18 building regulations, the project demonstrates how existing facilities can be transformed into modern, intelligent, and sustainable environments.
